Participation in the 'Performing Art Market in Seoul 2016' 2016-10-12

Korea Arab Society was in cooperation with Korea Art Management Service(KAMS) for ‘Performing Art Market in Seoul 2016’ that is held from 4th to 8th of October 2016.

KAMS is hosting Performing Art Market in Seoul(PAMS) every October under the support of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in order to revitalize adequate distribution and exportation of diverse Korean performing arts to oversea markets.

The programs of PAMS include showcases of selected performing arts, booth exhibitions of art works and artistic groups, various symposiums and networking programs, through which, all participating experts are able to share the information of field and global trends for encouragement of creation and provision of performing arts.

Every year PAMS selects what’s called focus region. KAMS invites influential experts of performing arts from the counties in this focus region so that they can present the outlook of the performing art market of their country. In PAMS 2016, the middle eastern and the Arab countries has been selected as the focus region. Therefore, the Korea Arab Society, with its secretary of general, Son Se-joo as one of the steering committee members of PAMS, worked on connecting concerned parties in both regions so that the outcome of this meaningful exchange can be vast and with bigger impact. The KAS also hosted the networking party of PAMS, ‘PAMS night’ on the 5th of October, to promote cooperation between the participants in the field of performing arts in the two worlds, where there was an art performance by an arab artist.
