Meeting with the Ambassador of Sudan 2016-02-15



Since his taking office, Secretary-General Son Se-joo of Korea-Arab Society has been meeting Ambassadors of the Arab countries in Korea to exchange views to promote the relations of cooperation between Korea and the Arab countries.

 

On the 11th of February, Secretary-General Son Se-joo met with the Ambassador of Sudan, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Abdelaal and discussed ways to increase exchange and cooperation between Korea and Sudan.

 

Ambassador Mohamed Abdelaal emphasized on the importance of cultural exchange while pointing out that the year 2017 will be the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between Korea and Sudan. He expressed his hope to see Korean cultural events such as 'Korea Arab Friendship Caravan' held in Khartoum in the future so that Sudanese people can experience Korean culture at first hand.

 

Secretary-General Son Se-joo mentioned that 2017 is a good time to focus on holding cultural events in both countries, and expressed his continuous support to enhance bilateral relations.
