Korea-Arab Society began the 'Korea-Arab Youth Exchange Program' since 2011 to better understand each other's culture and forge new friendships. It also allows Korean and Arab students, who are next generation of leaders, to visit each other's country to explore academic and career opportunities.
10 university students studying Arabic language from Korea visited Oman from 21 to 26 December 2014. It was especially a good opportunity for those who have never been to an Arab country before.
The students were introduced to Arabic culture at firsthand by visiting museum, desert and universities which they only could have learned from books. The students visited Sultan Qaboos University and built network with foreign students who are studying Arabic in Oman and exchanged ideas and opinions.
Korea-Arab Society will continue to provide opportunities for Korean university students to visit Arab countries so that they can experience Arabic culture, introduce Korea and improve mutual understanding with Arab youth.
