Korea-Arab Society (hereafter KAS) co-hosted the Logo Contest commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea-Oman and Korea-Qatar with Embassy of Korea to Oman, Embassy of Korea to Qatar, Embassy of Oman to Korea and Embassy of Qatar to Korea. It was held to raise awareness among the general public about the diplomatic relations.

The contest attracted 140 entries from Korea, Oman and Qatar in three weeks. All entries contained their own meaning, reflecting bilateral cooperation in creative design with aesthetic shapes and the below two logos were selected as first-placed logos.

In both logos, the colour of the number 50 is expressed using the colours of each national flag, and also images of each other's national flags are expressed inside numbers to convey the messages of promoting mutual cooperation and friendship between the two countries. 

For Korea-Oman logo, the five blue lines next to the number 5 represent the 50th anniversary, and the following white lines are to be filled in step by step gradually to commemorate 100 years of moving forward together in future.

The Korea-Qatar logo is expressed in compact design which signifies two countries’ partnership as number 5 and 0 cross each other and meet at one point as if they are shaking hands.

The selected two logos will be used in various events to be held this year to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
