Having started in Cairo, Egypt in 2003, the Korea-Middle East Cooperation Forum has been held annually in Korea and Middle East countries alternatively. The forum is a venue for an in-depth discussion on important issues for the development of a personal network among the participants. It intends to deepen mutual understanding and further develop bilateral relations.
This year the 19th Korea-Middle East Cooperation Forum will be held in Doha, co-hosted by Korea-Arab Society (KAS), Jeju Peace Institute (JPI), and the Diplomatic Institute of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of State of Qatar, the Middle East Council on Global Affairs (formerly Brookings Doha Center), and Ibn Khaldon Center for Humanities and Social Sciences of Qatar University and sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of State of Qatar. This year's theme is 'Korea and the Middle East: Towards Stronger Cooperation and Partnership' and the forum will be held on November 6th, from 10:30 to 17:00 (Doha time) / 16:30 ~ 23:00 (Seoul time). The official language is English.
