Award Ceremony of Korea-Arab Picture Book Translation Contest was held online on Thursday, 18 August 2022 via Zoom. The contest was co-hosted by Korea-Arab Society(KAS) with Korean Board on Books for Young people(KBBY), sponsored by Ministry of foreign affairs of the republic of Korea and S-OIL Science and Culture Foundation.

256 Koreans majoring Arabic and Arab students majoring Korean from 3 Arab countries(Egypt, Jordan, UAE) participated in the contest.

Many attended the competition including H.E. Asal Al-Tal Ambassador of Jordan to Korea and Mr.Eisa Alsamahi, the deputy head of mission of UAE to Korea to present the prize winners.

It was an opportunity to promote Korean books in the Arab world, expanding the scope of Korean culture and also motivate Arab and Korean students learning each others’ language and literature.
