Korea-Arab Society (hereafter KAS) held an on-line award ceremony on 22 December for the logo contest commemorating the upcoming 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2022 of Korea with Jordan, Morocco and Saudi Arabia to enhance mutual cooperation.

       The contest, which was sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, was co-hosted by KAS, Korean Embassies in Jordan, Morocco and Saudi Arabia, and also by Jordanian, Moroccan and Saudi Arabian Embassies in Korea. KAS received 154 logo designs from 147 people of the above four countries in just 16 days, which began from 25 November till 10 December 2021. The creative level of designs was outstanding, showing great enthusiasm from people with diverse backgrounds leading to a bright future ahead. The winners were selected by screening of six embassies, KAS and by an art director.

             The first placed winners of the contest were Mr. Anass Sidki for Morocco, Mr. Choi Jeong Hyeon for Jordan and Ms. Yoon So yeon for Saudi Arabia. Their designs will feature in all official materials related to the celebration among the embassies throughout next year.

       As four countries were involved, the award ceremony was held via online in festive atmosphere as B.I.G, a Korean idol group who is Goodwill Ambassador of KAS sent a congratulatory message in Arabic and a video of their performance. The applicants cheered when each winner was announced.

       The ceremony was also attended by distinguished guests to announce and congratulate first to third placed winners such as H.E. Mr. Ma Young-sam, Secretary General of KAS and Ambassadors of both sides(H.E. Dr. Chafik Rachadi, Moroccan Ambassador to Korea, H.E. Mr. Sami M. Alsadhan, Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Korea, Ms. Asal Al-Tal, Jordanian Charge d’Affaires a.i. to Korea, H.E. Mr. Chung Keeyong, Korean Ambassador to Morocco, H.E. Mr. Lee Jae-wan, Korean Ambassador to Jordan, H.E. Mr. Park Joon-yong, Korean Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and directors from the African and Middle Eastern Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea).
