2019 Korea-Arab Youth Exchange Program 2020-01-03

Korea-Arab Society’s 'Korea-Arab Youth Exchange Program' offers young Korean and Arab students to visit each other’s countries to visit industrial sites, cultural heritage sites and universities to meet fellow students to explore academic and career opportunities and forge new friendship.

 

In December 2019, 8 Korean students from various backgrounds including Arabic language were selected to broaden their understanding on Arab society and people.

 
The student delegation visited Muscat and Nizwa in Oman and Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the UAE from 22 to 28 December 2019.


 
The students had the opportunity to visit Sultan Qaboos University and Nizwa University in Oman, and the UAE University in the UAE to build new network with next-generation leaders of the Arab world. The program also allowed students to visit Korea Embassy in Oman and the UAE to know more about the Korea and the Arab economic and political cooperation.


 They also visited the National Museum of Oman, Louvre Abu Dhabi and Grand Mosques of Muscat and Abu Dhabi to learn Arab culture at first-hand.



 Korea-Arab Society will continue to provide opportunities for Korean university students to visit Arab countries so that they can experience Arabic culture, introduce Korea and improve mutual understanding with the Arab youth.
