The Korea-Arab Society invited Mr Lhoucine Rhazoui, Deputy Head of Mission of Embassy of Morocco to Korea to deliver a special lecture for Goyang Global High School’s students on 1 June 2016. The lecture’s theme was about the cultural exchange between Korea and Morocco and the importance of public diplomacy. He talked about Morocco’s history, society and the relationship on Korea and Morocco. He also showed the students of Moroccan youths’ profound interest in Korean culture especially through K-pop songs and soap operas, emphasizing that Korean youngsters also have to be open minded and learn about other cultures and set higher goals to be global leaders of future society. During Q&A session after the lecture there were questions regarding the role of being a diplomat, diverse culture of Morocco and current political affairs of the Middle East region which led the students to broaden their understanding on the Arab world.
