2015 Korea-GCC Youth Exchange Program: K-Youth Career Access to GCC 2015-12-10

Korea-Arab Society began the 'Korea-Arab Youth Exchange Program' since 2011 for younger generation of Korea and the Arab world to enhance understanding each other's culture and forge new friendships. It also allows Korean and Arab students to visit each other's country to explore academic and career opportunities.

This time, co-organised with the Korea International Trade Association, 14 university students studying Arabic language or taking International Trade courses from KITA Trade Campus were selected to visit Qatar and the UAE from 22 to 26 November 2015 under the theme of "K-Youth Career Access to GCC".

The students had the opportunity to accumulate concrete information on how to get a job in the Gulf region as the programme included special lectures and seminars from Dubai Headhunter, President of Emirati-Korean Friendship Society, Ambassadors and young Koreans who work in Qatar and the UAE. They also experienced Arabic culture at firsthand by visiting the UAE University in Al Ain, UAE and other cultural sites of Qatar and the UAE.

Korea-Arab Society will continue to provide opportunities for Korean university students to visit Arab countries so that they can experience Arabic culture, introduce Korea and improve mutual understanding with the Arab youth.
